AiRiders Private Limited was established in the year 2022, month of February, in Mysore district,
Karnataka. It was a long held desire of the founder to establish an aerospace company which
caters to the middle class section of the society and make the air journey affordable and
accessible to the general population in the range upto 100 to 150 kms.
Moreover, as the Indian city traffic was heavily congested and with bad roads, commuting on
road, especially for emergency vehicles, such as ambulance, has become cumbersome. To
overcome the delay on the roads, he came up with the idea to have a car-like environment
carrying two passengers with some luggage, but able to fly at a certain limited height above
terrain.
Vision
Make air travel over short to medium distance affordable and accessible to the general public
and in a relatively lesser time as compared to road travel.
Mission
Develop a two passenger Drone with the capability to fly around 120 kilometres without
refueling, with a hybrid power system including gasoline and electric power. The Drone will have
adequate failsafe system in the event of any emergency.

Other details:
The Drone should have a VTOL capability with an aim to operate from narrow streets or from
open rural fields.
The Drone will have a equal sets of propellers it can be a Quad or a Hexacopter configuration
and have a minimal foot print to enable the Drone for maneuvering and parking in normal
streets and take off from streets.
The Drone will carry two people of 125 kg each. It will operate in full auto mode and a manual
mode with basic training.
In the manual mode the people will have fewer controls like one joystick fore and aft motion to
go fwd or backward and side wards joystick motion to give for left or right turns and a switch for
up and down for lift ad landing or along similar lines
The battery range will be 120 km and speed of 60 kmph.
There will be a petrol engine to drives the generators to provide electric power to battery and motors pack in addition to a bank of Lithium Battery Packs which is also have a reserve capacity
to for emergency landing power (10 minutes) in the event of any failure.
There will be a parachute to reduce decent velocity and a air bag deployed at touch down to
protect the occupants
Onboard GPS navigation system and Full computer and electrical system redundancy and have
std gauges like Static ports and a heated pitot tube for altimeter and air speed measurements
gyros etc.
There will be a collision avoidance controls with LIDAR detect-and-avoid sensors etc. The
fuselage and props are carbon fiber for durability and light weight.
The propeller pitch is fixed and thrust is controlled by motor rpm. For fwd flight a slight tilt of the
rotor capability for simplicity no wings or tail rotor.
